Here is another image from a recent Beauty Shoot.
When creating photos for a site where people will buy the images, your work needs to stand out, but still be relevant at the same time.
For instance with this image we are aiming it at cosmetic companies. It’s based on contouring and creating the perfect face shape. Oval is the ‘ideal’ face shape, all hairstyles suit an oval face. And if you have a shape that is anything but oval, then contouring can help you to create the illusion of an oval shape.
I decided to think outside of the box when creating this image. Instead of swiping the brown & cream on like we see in most cosmetic contouring images, I decided to use a cross-hatch method, which is also a technique we are seeing used backstage by MUAs on catwalk shows.
This is a subtle but effective use of the technique and I think it’s worked really well as a stock beauty image.Martin filmed me creating this makeup during the photoshoot, so please subscribe to my channel to see the making of this look when it goes up!
